Research Comparison

GLOW Stack vs Wolverine Stack

A side-by-side research comparison of GLOW Stack and Wolverine Stack drawn from DRPSHP' peptide database records.

GLOW Stack

GLOW is a single preparation containing three separately studied peptides: GHK-Cu, TB-500 and BPC-157. GHK-Cu is the copper(II) complex of glycyl-histidyl-lysine, a tripeptide originally isolated from human plasma. TB-500 is the seven-residue synthetic fragment Ac-LKKTETQ, copied from the actin-binding region of thymosin beta-4. BPC-157 is a 15-residue synthetic peptide derived from a protein described in gastric juice. Each has its own literature, largely in cell culture and animals. No published study has tested the three together, and there is nothing on how stable they are, or how they behave, when mixed.

Wolverine Stack

Rather than a new molecule, Wolverine is two existing peptides, BPC-157 and TB-500, put together in one preparation. BPC-157 has fifteen residues and, according to those who first described it, comes from a sequence in a protein of gastric juice; almost all work on it is in rodents, a good part from one laboratory, and little exists in humans. TB-500 is the synthetic seven-residue chain Ac-LKKTETQ taken from thymosin beta-4, and much of the related research deals with the whole 43-residue protein, not the piece. As far as we know nobody has published a study of the two used together, so the combination has no literature to call its own.

Reading a comparison

A comparison places two records side by side; it does not merge them. Each description above is drawn from that compound's own record, and the two were not necessarily characterised by the same methods, at the same time, or to the same level of detail. Before comparing any attribute, it is worth establishing that both records describe the substance you think they describe — names are not identifiers, and two entries sharing a name can differ in salt form, stereochemistry or the convention used to state a mass. Where a figure carries no method beside it, the comparison is between two reported numbers rather than between two measurements.
